This 1 day overview course provides an introduction to the concepts, technology and components of a Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) solution, common terminology, platform choices, best practice and key skills required for successful implementation. The day will take delegates on a data journey from source to dashboard identifying all the key stages of the data journey and which solution components are relevant to each stage. The four key data journey stages are: • Data Platform Instantiation • Data Warehouse Design • Ingestion – ELT Design & Implementation • Power BI Semantic Model & Visualisation Design & Implementation Following on from this event delegates can continue to further spin off overviews focussing on these key stages of the BI solution.
No specific technical skills are required prior to attending this 1 day overview, but an interest and involvement in business reporting would be beneficial.
