This Advanced SQL for Data Analytics training course follows on from the Intermediate SQL for Data Analytics training course and focuses on complex data transformation challenges. In the basics and intermediate courses you got to grips with using the SQL language cleanse, mangle and transform data ready for analysing. Sometimes the volume of data and the complex relationships between different sets of records require more than a simple SELECT statement and straight forward functions, so in this course we focus on working with datasets and looking at SQL techniques for reducing record set sizes as early as possible and breaking challenges down into manageable chunks with modular approaches such as using views, stored procedures, temporary tables and common table expressions (CTEs). We also look at how we can manage data access security.
Delegates should have previously attended the Basic and Intermediate SQL for data Analysts courses or have equivalent knowledge.
