This course is an instructor-led classroom course aimed at analysts and IT professionals who have a requirement to create detailed, summary or dashboard style reports for the business, and are new to building reports with ReportBuilder and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), perhaps migrating from other reporting systems.
The course covers the foundation skills for report writing with Microsoft ReportBuilder and SSRS. Delegates will learn to use the wizards and design tools to create table, matrix and chart reports. The fundamental skills to get going and publish useful business reports are covered by this course: adding data sources and data sets to reports, formatting and creating expressions, sorting and filtering data, grouping data and creating hierarchies and drill down reports, printing and exporting reports.
Delegates may wish to build on the skills acquired during this course by attending the "Writing Reports With Microsoft Report Builder SSRS Level 2" course, which covers more advanced topics such as creating parameter reports, list reports, adding images and subreports, adding sparklines, data bars and indicators.
ReportBuilder 3.0 and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) - all versions from SQL Server 2008R2 to SQL Server 2019.
This course can be offered in a face to face classroom and virtual setting.
Delegates attending this course will benefit from a familiarity with Windows and a basic knowledge of the SQL SELECT statement.
