The customer is a medium-sized manufacturing business that relies heavily on data-driven insights to make informed decisions on all aspects of their business. They were struggling with slow and inefficient reports when trying to import data directly from Dynamics NAV into Power BI.
Problem

Solution
To address these challenges, the customer accepted our recommendation to build a data warehouse using Azure SQL DB. This solution would provide them with faster and more efficient reports, a more intuitive data model, and a centralised repository for their historical data.

Not only were they able to develop faster and more efficient reports, but they could also now report on metrics relating to historical performance due to the ability of the data warehouse to track changes over time. Additionally, the new data warehouse made it possible to bring in data from other areas of the business, which expanded their reporting capabilities even further.
